mOre about this place
Apr. 23rd, 2003 11:37 amThe hours I work are weird. Yesterday I was told to work from 10-18 and when I was here just before ten, I found out there was nobody here. I was very glad to have received a key yesterday.
The chair I'm in, or rather, on, is weird. It's one of those special anti-rsi chairs, where you sit a bit on your knees, with your legs underneath the chair. It's not that good for my back, I can't sit on it the whole day. Besides, I keep gliding off and it's hurting my shins.
So far so good, I've been in for over 90 minutes and still nobody has shown up. It has given me a chance to answer an e-mail from some Swedish guy who wanted to do an interview about Dutch larpers with me. I said I knew other people who were larping for way longer than I was but he sent me the questions. Also I found ONE Belgian artist on Elfwood so far, for Coen. I still have to write stuff for Woodworks but I also need to work, after all that's what I'm here for.
Last night I just had to get outside for a while. I picked up my digicam and walked to the Maanderpark, just 5 minutes walk from my house. I took some nice pictures. Just to be outside. I like photography, but ofcourse with my digicam it's not really 'photography'. My fav from last night: the big fat cypres cat behind some purple flowers. SO pretty. I love taking pictures of cats.
I might want to check out whether or not I can download my pictures to these computers. I'll have my computer back Sunday...but still.
Oh, good point: memo to me Mail Brian.
Another positive thing about working in Nijmegen: I'm in the train 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening. I've decided to make a drawing each day. Red dummy. YAY!
I'm free Fridaynight and Saturday, I only have to work Sunday. Since Tommy moved out the house is empty and quiet. I need to do some shopping today, and stufi has been deposited. I've saved money from my costume-makings and I will be able to spend some money at the Fair this Saturday, if needed. I hope either Anton, Wittenburg or even Skain Mhor will be selling larp weapos. I need a scimitar-like sword. Crave. Need. Crave.
I'm done blurbing. Carry on.
