The first day - so far

janestarzActually, I'm beginning to like this internship.
The sun is shining and I just went out to get some good coffee at MacD's (no Starbucks yet in Holland and I haven't found an acceptable source for good coffee yet). The place looks like this:
It's a one room 'redactie', right now there are three of us here. There are also three desks and three computers so that's okay. They drink 'just-add-water' coffee and I'm allowed to browse the internet freely. Duh, it's a multimedia internship.
I've just posted my first small article, an introduction on the Blog on focus-in dot nl, and I'm working hard on article two and three. I've been ordered to take care of the links for Singles, and it's pretty hard considering the theme. There's a lot to be found about internet dating but it's quite hard to find good links.
The neighbourhood: just outside the town center, a carnaval shop in the next street, and some other shop right next to it I'll have to check out one of these days. The smell of weed is in the air here, a tattooshop and gayleather bar are a few hundred metres up the street and people are just hanging around. Just around the corner are the main shopping streets of Nijmegen.
And I found mIRC installed here. I'm afraid to use it though. No MSN. I should be working, remember?
