More troubles with my computer

janestarzOkay, this is what was the initial problem with my computer: my digicam was not detected by the computer. Cause: the USB port was not installed on the motherboard.
So Luc took her (the computer) away and told me he'd fix her. After all, it had been his computer to start with, he passed it on to me.
The OS is not good, though. I seem to have Windows 98 the first edition installed while the camera needs the second edition to operate. So Luc called me: "What do you want me to do?". He explained that the programs that I have installed would probably object if I were to have a new Operating System installed. They'd just freak out, and not work. But without the new OS my camera wouldn't work. Now I do have my old computercase (Pentium I 166mHz) still standing at home, but there's no USB port in sight at the back end. So, without a new OS my camera would be...well...worthless. I could be taking pictures that never would leave the camera.
Luc agreed to my decision and said I could have my emptyheaded computer back tomorrow. *sigh*
Now I just hope stuff like Adobe Photoshop (which is a very important program if you want to view or edit pictures) won't freak out. Installing everything all over again would take so much time!
Other than that, I was looking at the portfolio assignment and the only thing I could do was laugh out loud at it. We're supposed to write a application letter with footnotes. I mean, come ON! Throw me something that's actually worth fighting for. [I souldn't say that too loud].
So that will have to wait for a few weeks. More imminent is my internship plan. I'll have to hand it in before Friday, and since thursday we have all these tests and after that I'll be off, I need to make it NOW. Buhhh. Don't wanna.
Tomorrow I'll try to see if I can get that tent up, then Thursday exams (2) and then off to Deventer. I'll spend the night at Seb's place. I spoke to him again at Mousytails' birthday and he described his cats and ferrets. He's going to play a paladin of Imperito (order) at Shiverz and he's one of the good party, just like me. Mousytail and he have already tried to convert me to Imperito! We're not even playing by a long shot!

And I've discovered an evil ploy to surprise me this weekend, were it not that I will not be there at all. [/russian accent]. It's very sweet of TC to tell me how she was trying to scheme with Oz against me, but it's also very sad I'll be traipsing around the Veluwe woods this weekend and won't be there to see Oz. I still think he should come this way to see Tommy! But that could just be me.
