Last night I was really in a blah mood. I'm now listening to the Fellowship OTR soundtrack. Time for the Lothlórien song. It hears of trees. Thats not proper English is it?

So, last night. Watched Charmed and did some homework (!!!). I've thought of arguments because some lame class called "debat" and yes that's as boring as it sounds. Luckily I'm on the right side of the argument meaning I completely support the side I was assigned.

I'll be in school until at six or something. I have to do the feared evaluation with all asses of the classes (why the hell did I volunteer for that job anyway?). Shot some shots of a catholic church with Tommy yesterday afternoon and after typing my portfolio that I intended to make this trimester count as much as last, I guess I am on the right way with doing my homework.

This post is not at all going as I planned.

I've brought some books on anatomy and drawing fantasy figures. I seem to be determined to finally draw a dragon and like the picture (I'm really bad at drawing dragons) and I'm all for magicians at this time. Also, fairies seem to be back and I'm also pondering a pathlighter. That will be the first. I have Social Psychology in a minute which is a nice lecture to do other stuff during. That's not proper English either, is it? My brain is a bit asleep still I guess.

But about last night. I wasn't at all in the mood for doing creative stuff. I am afraid to pick up the knife and carve wood since the cut. At least until the last cut is healed. I actually had a fright-pain when I thought about carving wood. Scary shit. Drawing and making clothes (which I used to be able to do non-stop) aren't very attractive at this time and I can't write about Tis when I'm in a lecture-hall (the next-door church in a minute) because I need a laptop. Twenty pages and counting.

Asterix is mad at me for some strange reason. He claims it was my behavior at the crea-weekend. I don't know what it's all about but it kind of hurt me.

I'm planning to buy the fabric for Shivers Saturday
Gandalf falling into the shadow. This soundtrack is so good. I can see parts of the movie when I hear the music
and make the tunics on Sunday. Work on Anna's costume also. Shiverz is coming closer and my mom wants the sewing-machine back. My preciousssss....she steallssss it! The nasty thievessessss. *hisss*

Gotta go to lecture. Maybe post more later. I was trying to keep posting down to one a day but I don't know if I can keep it up. *grin*

Proper English or not, I did understand what you mean ;-)
And about the knife thing: get to work as soon as you can. If you don't, you're gonna be scared of it forever. Same as horseback riding: fall off and don't get back on immediately: trauma.
I have a trauma with forests now :-P My feet hurt when I think of it

Well...there's something to be said for men who can't lift a finger but it's not my intention to let fatigue restrain you.
Interpret that any way you like.

Forestwalking. I like that. I always find it amusing when you run words together (I suspect Dutch is closer to German than English, in having concepts conveyed in longer single words rather than several shorter).

Forestwalking... makes me think of the word wanderlust, for some reason. But... forestwalking. Yeah, I like that. Not entirely sure why, but I do.

I wish I had someone with whom I could forestwalk. A forest would be good too, but I think I want the other more. *smile*

the dutch phrase is "boswandelen" which isn't proper either. But yes, we do put words together like that.

forest = bos
to walk = wandelen
to wander = ronddolen

funny how the english "Wander" is similar to the dutch "Wandelen"

Enough rambling. I'm not in a good mood for this.

As the resident native English speaker, I shall weigh in on this issue:

It hears of trees.

Uhm, I suspect you are trying to express a sentiment that does not really work in English (or probably any language for that matter). However, you [livejournal.com profile] jenallah is probably right in that the best would be "It sounds like trees." Or, maybe it would be better to say, "I hear trees." or, "It makes me hear trees." Although that is not really right either, because there is not really an distinctive sound to tree themselves (I think), although it could work in the sense that there are sounds associated with trees - the wind moving the branches, etc. But I suspect you are going for something less... logical and distinct than that. However, the point is good - something cannot, really, in English, 'hear of' something. A subject hears, but one cannot hear of an object.

That will be the first. I have Social Psychology in a minute which is a nice lecture to do other stuff during.

I think what you want with the first sentence is "That will be a first." That is the common phrase, although it does not necessarily make more more grammatical sense than what you said. And the second sentence works (although it is technically grammatically incorrect, having a preposition at the end, but few people try to follow that rule), but it would probably work better if you were to say, "which is a nice lecture during which to do other stuff." But that is a bit awkward, too. So, basically, no real problem. I have read a lot worse prose.
