Second time French Can-Can
Aug. 21st, 2017 03:33 pmThis is a paid pattern I get a lot of use out of! A fast knit, super easy start with an interesting braided cable at the end.
Looking through my stash I picked up this cotton and seaweed cellulose (rayon) yarn for a project for myself, but I never pick anything white to wear, so it was wasted on me.
This yarn weight (DK weight) isn't too thick but knits up fast! The pattern is fun and the effect is always stunning. It's a crescent shaped shawl that drapes beautifully over the shoulders too.
Like with the first French Can-Can, I photographed it on the balcony with all the happy laziness a pillow and a good book can offer.
I cannot recommend the books and stories of Ursula Vernon enough! I own three books of the Hamster Princess series (book 1 is in the picture), and I also have the Digger Omnibus, Castle Hangnail and Nurk in my bookcase. (Support your earthling author today!)
