Addendum - hand-knit socks for sale!
Dec. 20th, 2016 11:44 amA slight addendum to my previous post.
I have spots open for people who would like a pair of hand-knit socks. To cover the costs of the wool and a slight pocket penny I am asking € 30,- per pair in any size.
Professional sock knitters and Scandinavians knit a pair of socks in roughly a day (non-stop). I take approximately 2 weeks per pair, depending on the design and gauge.
One could argue that I'm knitting anyway, that it's my hobby and I shouldn't get paid for it. But I also know that beautiful socks are not something you can buy everywhere, that some people would love to support me in building my business, and that hand-knit socks are THE warmest socks you can wear during a larp.
If you think I've missed your birthday, please let me know as well.
If there are no takers, I'll probably end up knitting the socks in sizes I want and putting them up on Etsy. Not all yarn from my stash makes me happy.

Above you see the Socks of Joy, currently on the needles and still available. Colours are red, purple, bits of dark grey and flecks of dark yellow. These are in standard sock yarn (80% wool, 20% polyamide) knit to 8 stitches per inch.
I plan to knit these with contrast heel and toe in the same red as the cuff.
