Cabled Beret
Dec. 6th, 2014 06:14 pmThere's nothing like a chunky project for a cold Saturday afternoon.
I cast on a cabled beret this afternoon. I've got four skeins of this super chunky wool, so I hope it's enough. The wool itself is a dream, really soft and nice to work with (Lana Grossa - Regazza Lei). The pattern is interesting, not too difficult but the tiny cable on my magic loop makes it a little harder.
And I promised myself I wouldn't pick up any new projects until I finished my other two. Well, this is supposed to be a short-term project. Someone bragged it took her a single afternoon. I'm not that fast. Just about a third of the way up towards the crown, just finished the first cable round, and that with several episodes of Sex and the City under my belt.
