Last Sunday I was quite embarrassed by my neighbours. Despite rigourous screening (friends-only post), it seems Cornholio lives here.

I had guests over for my crafts day which meant we moved quite a lot of things down stairs, since my room is nowhere near big enough to accommodate more than one person crafting. This is not a problem. It also means we get to use the downstairs facilities.
After a few hours of work, I had to go to the bathroom and I went into the one with the stalls. I noticed there was no toilet paper, and I wished one of my guests had said something, so I would have gone up earlier to get some toilet paper. I know several people went before I did, and I was sorry to see there was no toilet paper for them.

I went to the upstairs handicapped bathroom across the hall from my own room, where all the people from my hall supply a package of toilet paper when we're running out. Since we mostly do this at the same time (we all think "hey, the toilet paper is almost out, I'll pick some up on the way home tonight") there's always plenty toilet paper to go around.
I went to the toilet downstaris, put the rolls on the water closet of the toilet, did my business, washed my hands and proceeded crafting.

Imagine my surprise when next I went the toilet paper was mysteriously missing from both stalls!
Apparantly my neighbours are either very ill-behaved or poor enough to need to steal rolls of toilet paper lying around.

The more I think about it, the more apalled I am. Whatever happened to empathy, and you know, neighbourly behavior?
At least my hallway has nice people in it. People who clean up after themselves, share meals if they have too much food, and invite people to come have tea with them. And above all: people who can keep their hands off my freakin' toilet paper!

I will be writing e-mails of apology to my friends now, because I had not expected this at all. The more I think about this, the more it boggles the mind!
And this is why we can't have nice things.
