Miss it?

This morning between 8 am and 1 pm a repairman would drop in to fix the rubbers of the freezer. I was up (read: out of bed and stumbling my way to the coffee machine) by 8 o'clock and have been on tenterhooks ever since. The only doorbell we have is upstairs in the bedroom, though there are wires for another one downstairs in the livingroom, so I was afraid to miss the doorbell.

However, Sir did not show up and only called me after one o'clock to say he'd be with me within half an hour. Let's hope so.

I also had inquired at the UWV to make an appointment with my WorkCoach^TM, hoping to be able to get some answers to my questions. I have not had internet access for most of the day yesterday and I was afraid I'd missed the e-mail. I log in today to find a reply "one of my colleagues will make an appointment with you shortly."
I am willing to bet ten bucks that I will not get my appointment until the New Year.

Ah, repairman is here. Only 13:16, a new record!

Pre-Christmas gifts

I never really could justify buying a blender or a kitchen machine, but when my dad offered his yesterday (a Christmas Box two years earlier had supplied him with one, and it had been in a cupboard ever since) I didn't hesitate and snapped it up.

It's already mixed up the egg/cream cheese mixture I needed for my spinach pie and it's made a whopping liter and a half of orange/banana smoothie!

Best pre-Christmas gift ever!
