Whatever plans I make, they seem to change every day, according to other people's plans, happenings, the news, impromptu decisions, bad planning and the weather. I swear I don't do it on purpose. But plans have to be adjusted and although I'm not so very bendy unless I practice my yoga, I'm at least a little flexible.

My initial plan to go to Tilburg today to ready the new house for our arrival on Thursday was scrapped because it would take me some three hours of public transport -- time that would be better spent packing in the old apartment. However, as I realised yesterday, we ourselves did not have transportation on the Big Day Itself to Tilburg and going by train with two mewling cats in a crate is not a very happy thought.

Luckily my mother had offered the loan of her Astra and this morning I caught the 9.30 train to Utrecht and picked it up in Houten. After a quick cup of coffee I happily nestled my bum in the already-worn-down chair behind the wheel.
I had phoned NoKey that morning after a nigh-SOS text message that he didn't finish the chores in Tilburg and had offered to finish them up during the day because now I had a car to get there with.

To Tilburg I went! Despite everything, original plan was back in action.
To sum it up, today I did the following:
- Clear away air matrass, sleeping bags and isolation mats.
- Clear away another air matrass.
- Put boxes of books in upstairs cupboard so they're not in the way. Memo to me: before unpacking clothes, make sure to unpack books into downstairs cupboards first.
- Gather about 50% of NoKeys total clothes that were completely strewn about the second bedroom and wedge them in between the boxes of books. No time for being careful.
- Move all the larp stuff into the attic room.
- Create a snug place for the kitties to hang out in the attic room while the movers are busy downstairs. Make sure there are no clothes on the floor or they'll piss on them.
- Re-hang the attic room door so the kitties can't escape. That wall wasn't completely white to begin with, I swear.
- Finish off the plinths. I even used the scary-as-hell saw Nachtvisser loaned us.
- Repack the tools into the toolbox so I could take them back to Rotterdam, where they're needed to kill disassemble the 'Orrible Cupboard.
- Pack all tools strewn about upstairs into a box, to be placed in pantry.
- Re-assemble coatrack.
- Make bathroom movers-proof -- there's nothing between them and a handy spot to place the washing machine anymore. Even if it does render our shower temporarily out-of-use.
- Hang the old curtains from my student room in the living room and admire the homely feel this gives.
- Vacuum the bedrooms and downstairs. Begone evil sawdust!
- Clear away all tools, paints, tapes, electrical wiring, screws, plugs, switches and shit literally strewn everywhere in the kitchen.
- Begone dust from countertops!
- Do dishes. Somewhat.
- Pack up the cardboard from the laminaat flooring and put in car.
- Grab two trashbags that are too large for our kliko and put in car.
- Grab toolbox and put in car.

Yay, Tilburg is move-proof!
