Status update: Walls finished!
Nov. 23rd, 2011 10:56 pmToday I went over to Tilburg and finished the second coat of paint on the walls in three-and-a-half hours flat. I am getting pretty good at this, and now all the painting on the house should be done!
Tomorrow it's Ikea time. I pick up
diverteddreamer after the morning rush hour and we make our way to Ikea. Looks like the floor we picked out is going to cost us some € 387,50 which is a lot cheaper than wall-to-wall carpeting. I've already established that the wooden floors are pretty cold (especially when you're sleeping on an air matrass!) so I guess what we save on the carpeting will go into a pair of warm fuzzy zombie-brain slippers*
NoKey's fixed the lights (LED-spots) and made sure the light switch splits into the two halves of the room. I guess it pays to have an electrotechnical spouse who is pretty much good at everything.
I don't know when I'll get around to writing my story from Maerquin, maybe this weekend if packing allows.
------
*) If there aren't any in those Geek webshops yet, it's about time someone invents them, because I tell you there's one heck of a market for bloody brain-slippers.
