Paper LJ: Morning run
May. 21st, 2011 09:03 amThis morning at the ungodly hour of 07.30 am we gathered on deck 12 for morning gymnastics. Three laps around the track (which doesn't even go all the way around the ship) is one kilometer; we started off light with a lap of walking.
Bleary-eyed colleagues grumbled in protest or hailed last night's whisky. Some didn't even show up.
I tried my best when we started running in earnest after a round of stretching, and we all laughed as people dodged the track and took shortcuts.
Breakfast stilled my queasy stomach; we're experiencing some waves to the side of the ship but the lead lining my stomach seems to hold for now, expecially since it was tarred with watermelon, pancakes, egg and of course: coffee!
I love my sturdy constitition, really I do.
Up on the menu today: the battle of the teams!

Climbed a rock wall, played a lot of volleyball, and even tried my hand at some basketball but the Spanish beat me to it.
The group photo has been made and we get the afternoon off. As soon as I'm in range of a mobile network I'll call my dad to speak to my aunt who will turn 60 today.
We'll dock at Mallorca tonight and go out at Palma da Mallorca for a night on the town. Some of the photographers have invited eachother for a photography trip and a walk into town. It's all about honing skills and practicing. I could do without the boozing, for sure!
