The five centimeter snot strand
Jan. 13th, 2010 10:52 amI hate updating my blog when I'm sick. I haven't got anything interesting to write, except for that fever induced fake commercial I thought up in which all major politicians died and Princess Maxima was named President of the Republic of United Netherlands. Heh, long story that.
My fever might still be here, haven't the foggiest if it is, and the cough is 'deepening'. Like it's still gearing up and getting ready to get really comfy in my bronchii, and the worst part is yet to come. I coughed until I nearly choked, tonight.
I'm still lying low, stuck to the couch with a book and my laptop. Already watched most of our funny DVDs like Over the Hedge and Ice Age.
Meanwhile, I'm not the only one feeling a bit under the weather. Though my nose is still clear of any mucus and the only indication of having a cold I have is that pressing feeling on my sinuses when I've coughed too much, I'm nowhere near as snotty as our Lisa. She was happily snoozing away in our laps last night while we were watching DS9, when she suddenly sneezed loudly. There was a five centimeter strand of snot hanging in her whiskers by the time she was done.
Ew.
No, really, like...ew!
NoKey bought me flowers and chicken soup and honey licorice. I'm nearly finished in part 2 of the Wheel of Time: The Great Hunt, with at least ten more of those huge books still on the shelves, so I'll keep myself occupied. I'll just leave you with the stunning visual I just described to get through the day without me. Ta!
