Busy week!

I never knew having a week off of work could be so tiring. I don't even have time for an after-larp-dip! Monday I spent at Ragar's place, which was good. We watched a movie and had fun. He wasn't feeling so hot, so he went to bed around three-thirty, and I drove by a supermarket and the Ikea to fix some thing that needed fixing for a long time now.

I dropped the old chair off at the trash just before it closed and then dropped off the car just before the rental company closed. *pfew!*
Tuesday was spent on Xtreme Corsetry... and after twelve hours of sewing you're kind of really tired of that adventure, I can tell you.

Yesterday, Wednesday, was spent writing the Omen report - a 7550-word baby and intense hours of labour, struggling with a timeline of a far too busy and far too much fun event. And after that was done I cooked dinner and we had time for one episode of StarTrek Voyager before Keffie and Leona dropped by for D&D. We didn't get around to actually playing, in stead we remenisced about Omen, but it was good nonetheless! There was fruit aplenty: raspberries, strawberries and grapes.

Today we fixed some other stuff that needed fixing. I sent off an order of cloak clasps and we had lunch at LaPlace -- sadly JW couldn't join us because of a previous engagement -- and then bought me a new sleepingbag. I had ripped out the zipper of my old one. It had been giving me trouble since Puerto and I'm not at my most patient at three in the morning when my feet are cold and the zipper keeps opening up on me.
The sleeping bag has a comfort zone between -20 and 0°C, so that's good.

We also picked up some Dalwhinnie whisky (noms!) for the Moots, some new facial cream and then walked back home. Errands. I hate running errands. It always takes longer than intended.

And I winter-proofed our balcony. I wanted to separate the parsley, chives and basil...but the roots were all jumbled. Instead I ripped out the two smallest plants and hope the parsley will survive. We're going to sow new chives and basil for the new year in three seperate planters.
I also finished off the tomato plants and upended the planters, tossing out the largest chunks of roots and added some of the earth to the oak tree planter and the parsley pot. The rest was tossed back into the large 20 liter jug the tomatoes used to grow in and used to plant four of the chestnuts. [livejournal.com profile] woran's idea of re-introducing the chestnut in the Netherlands has a lot of appeal. I'd want one in my back yard, if we ever get a back yard.

So now half the day is gone, more than, and I still need to get started on the seventh Pathfinder tunic. I'd promised myself never to make another one, but I really do have a soft spot for Asterion and he fed me whisky this weekend so he's got some credit...
