Castlefest 2009 -- Day 2
Aug. 1st, 2009 10:50 pm"Sir? Sir? Sir?" --- Gender FAIL. And boy, did they blush when they found out.
A good day. Ragar, his girlfriend and his daughter and I wore Sandrider costumes. Dressing in the parking lot took a while, but when we were done we looked awesome. I don't think I ever had so many pictures taken of me in a single day.
We posed for pictures many, many times. At times the photographers would be done and others would step into their place and take pictures as well. After an hour of walking around and having our pictures taken, the little-little (4,5 years old) was through with posing for pictures.
We sat on the grass and had a bit of rest, taking off various bits. I had left the bottom tunic layer at home, but it was great to be able to take off the armour. So good that you'd almost didn't want to get dressed any more. Spraying cold water on the hijab helps a lot as well. The backpack made sure I was really warm on my back, but the rest was fine. The armour's not that tight that it's uncomfortably warm.
woran took some really great pictures of our group for the DG website, so I'm very curious! I'll bet they turned out lovely.
And more people read this blog than I thought.
wannabe_bitch recognised me because she knew what I would be wearing. Oh, and hi Eddy, my fave Torrie ghoul!
Ahem. Tomorrow is Beriadanwen's turn. Let's see if the elf armour draws more photographers or less. I'm already looking forward to wearing 10 kilo's of costume for the day....
