Sleep deprivation and team outing
Nov. 21st, 2007 10:01 amSunday night after coming home we went to bed around nine.
Monday night after work I had organised a team outing with the SIT testteam. Niek, Henk, Steffen and Marijn (our testmanager in the integration project) joined me for a good bite of Japanese delicacies at Sushi (links to a Dutch review site) in the Taksteeg in Amsterdam.
Henk went by car and the rest of us jumped into an intercity to Amsterdam. We arrived in 45 minutes, walked down the Damrak, past the Dam, down the Rokin to the Taksteeg. I immediately recognized the small shop and we stepped inside. At table in the front of the shop (though it's so small there's hardly a back to it) we were seated and waited for Henk to arrive who was stuck in traffic, had to find a parking spot and then needed to be coaxed to the restaurant. The four of us shared a Maki Mix that was very, very fresh. Tuna, crab, salmon, cucumber sushi four pieces each, and two pieces of egg.
When Henk arrived we ordered for real. I had beef skewers, gyoza (dumplings - that weren't as tasty as I remembered) and gohan (cooked rice). The boys shared a flask of sake.
By the time I got back home it was almost eleven o'clock and I was tired as hell. Last night during D&D I was so sleepy I went to bed at nine again.
I hope I'll feel a bit better tonight because there's a lot that needs doing. I have to start my acne treatment, then change the sheets on the bed and start on some laundry. There's also a pile of dishes and a turn of vaccuuming to be done, not mentioning the folding of last week's laundry. But for the first time in a few days I feel a bit more rested.
Maybe it has something to do with the location where Legendfalls is held?
