On Star Wars;
Nov. 2nd, 2005 09:18 amWhile the whole of the US of-you-know-what A is running to the stores today for Star Wars three, we have to wait patiently for exactly two more weeks to get it. Meanwhile, via Slashdot I found an article about Star Wars. From the article:
"It's Jar Jar's chance collision with Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan in the jungles of Naboo that inflicts his continued presence on the screen for the rest of The Phantom Menace. But by Clones, his role is reduced to that of a deferential stooge of the nefarious Palpatine, and in Sith he gets only a single line of dialogue, suggesting a certain balancing out of Jar Jar's irritating disturbance in the Force. More important, we are made to see how Jar Jar's apparently coincidental meeting with the Jedi needed to happen, since it is his misguided vote that allows Palpatine to take control of the Senate, leading to the death of the Republic. The clown becomes the villain, and balance is restored."

A well-written article, with many long and hard words. *grin* Written by a teacher from the University of Georgia, so that might explain some things.
In other non-SW-news: D&D was kind of boring. Keffie took over the group and we landed in a Dwarf mine/dungeon. All we found so far is traps, and inching your way through a hall an inch at a time constantly praying the next one won't kill you, has not been so much fun so far. Uthar fell into the same pit thrice, because he couldn't tiptoe past the edge. Still, falling for 18 meters with only 6 points of damage is quite spiffy, even for a bulky hulky half-orc barbarian.
Also worked on Order #1. I've almost finished already, and the velvet is not at all objecting. You see, I have more problems sewing the thinnest lightest fabrics together than thick velvet with nap. All in all, I had quite a productive day: did dishes, worked on order, baked krupuk and went to D&D and had time in the morning to play Heroes IV.
My cough is slowly progressing to a terminally irritating kind. I did manage to sleep until 8.15, though I might be keeping myself or NoKey up because the coughing will not stop. So far, the cough has been building up for a week and a half, and it's showed no signs of lessening.
