No Gimp!?

And just as you want to work on the Dolle Griet website, the Gimp went missing.
I wish I were a little better with linux so I could find it myself, but typing "gimp" in a shell just resulted in it telling me it was an invalid command. I know that. Just run the damned thing!

Anyways, Malor picked up his robe okay yesterday, and more locking and sewing is planned for today. Is my life becoming boring?

{{EDIT}} found it! Same shit, different icon. Downside is that clicking it doesn't do anything.

Machines not working - you know the drill

And suddenly, for no apparant reason, the lockmachine despises velvet. The left needle just spits out the thread it has, due to some upper or lower thingy, and I'm stuck with a seam that's quite ugly and a loose thread. I've read the manual, I've checked all the tensions on pieces of rest-fabric, and it was fine. I twiddled the tightnesses a bit but in the end it looked good.
Only it still spits out the velvet.
Soooo, I'm trying not to throw it out of the window and remain breathing calmly.

And ofcourse this happens on the day my lovely innate technician is away for the entire fucking day.

It's a Catweazle day.

I'm really having a Catweazle day. "Nothing works!" the failed wizard always exclaims, and yes, I do feel that every fucking little thing around me is not working in some way or other.
Linux suddenly gives up on the sound system, killing arts doesn't help shit, so hey, guess what, watching a movie isn't really going to happen either. Xine crashes every time I try to start it, and then refuses to quit so xkill is my most used command recently. And ofcourse the lockmachine is refusing to do its stitches.
Luckily I can still always work on the cloaks I already lock-stitched. And if Brother Spawn is being wayward I can always throw it out of the window and read my book because books will never fucking cease to fucking work.

Hating electronics, hating machines, hating computers right now. It's a fucking miracle I can still use Firefox.
