Though there is always a certain amount of 'getting used to new things' involved when new things are introduced, I'd say that the new things actually are an improvement. As Manesni said yesterday `All hail the Pinguin!` Goooo Tuxie!

The Linux thing is up and running, and NoKey can now log in from his pc onto my linux system and put my bookmarks in place and my mail that has been running from Windows. Basically, I'll be using Linux for my online life, and switch to windows when I want to play a game like Settlers II or the Sims.

Sad thing about these kinds of switches or any kind of (re)installs is that you have to get used to things and customize them accordingly. I set the overall look of KDE (graphical interface - the Linux equivalent of Windows though KDE actually works) to something closely resembling Windows XP, and I'm figuring out the keyboard layout. I've lost the opening tag (the mirror of '>' ), my brackets have moved one key left, and my / and - have switched places. The semicolon and tilde are gone too, replaced by ± and §. I need to figure out how and why and where, but I'll get there. Bookmarks and Mail are coming, NoKey is figuring out how to grab them and plant them in Linux.

So I'll be customizing the looks and feels and ofcourse abuse my four desktops.
