NoKey and I went to the market to shop for fabrics with Voltar. There, we bought fabrics, and more fabrics and oh- more fabrics still. My bag was heavy by the time we were done, and then we ran into
twilightbanana. We walked to a nice coffeebar at the Meent (one of the restaurants where TC used to work), and there we enjoyed a noon lunch with caffeine. Twi sketched on my dagger (for Anna), and was done quite quickly. I am very happy with what he had already and only minor adjustments (like an Avendesora leaf) were added.
This reminds me: I still need names for my two new Schatzkammer daggers. It's got to be something that has something to do with Japanese culture, since they're tanto. I was thinking along the lines of Honor and Blossom.
Voltar will come over tonight for Tjap Tjoy and Last Samurai. We bought the dvd yesterday (finally!) and had already watched over half of it. It's an emotional but very good movie.
We left the market early because I was so sick of all those people. I like people, but in such quantities in such a confined space I get demographic claustrophobia - as Mr. Finn once put it I believe.
In other news: NoKey and I have become addicted to computer games in our blahness. I'm going for Carmageddon II and Commander Keen II (yay for pc-speaker sound!), while he is shooting monsters in Abuse.
I have about 6 orders to finish before August, but at least I have all the fabrics in tha house now. One cloak is already finished. Have to find out about sending on Monday.
