Wrapped in shadow
Sep. 2nd, 2003 01:28 pmWell, finally I've given in to my feelings. I'm ill. Got the flu. Yes, I'm taking time off from my busy life and actually admitting I am ill and staying at home and doing the whole soup-tea-and-a-blankie-on-the-couch routine. At least until now. I'm pondering playing a game on my computer (something I haven't done for ages), or continuing some work on the Marius coat.
Now, speaking of games, I got a lot of games. Ofcourse, it remains to be seen whether my computer can handle games. Maybe he'll like it and purr. Maybe it'll even increase internet performance (yeah right).
After all, I'm back to typing livejournal in a MS Word document, waiting for an opportunity to upload it once I'm back in school. It does have a certain charm to it though, typing LJ while sitting at my desk in an all-fleece outfit, with a sleeping bag over my legs and the water boiler working on my tea in the kitchen.
So: games. I have loads installed, and I'm just going to bore you with the details since I've nothing better to do. I have:
Now that's a tough choice. I think I'll play some Settlers II. There's something to be said for countryside and intelligent-less people building houses, wind in the trees, etc etc. I love the Norse houses with their cobblestone look. I will be Erik, fierce Norse Conqueror!
Oh please just shoot me now.
Or some Sims. I love building lovely houses with great landscaping and wonderful décor and spending 3 hours on building the house and then 15 minutes until I get very bored with the family. That's always fun.
Since my back is doing better, it's hardly bothering me at all, I could also do some work on some of my projects. The JackieKennedy dress isn't done yet, and I am craving my Mariuscoat since the weather is kind of falling apart on me here. Warm, blood red, gothy coat goooood.
Nah, it's gonna be some Sims.

- Kolonisten van Catan
- Civilization I and II
- Risk II
- The Sims [Living Large, House Party, Hot Date]
- Settlers I and II
- Colonization
- Traffic Giant
- GTA I and II
- Transport Tycoon de Luxe
- Xixit (tetris rip-off, old 486 games rock!)
- Roller Coaster Tycoon
- Klingon Honor Guard (Star Trek doom-rip-off with even worse graphics. I'm too spoiled)
- SimCity 2000 and 3000
- Birth of the Federation
