"In your head - zombie..."
Jul. 11th, 2003 10:55 amGah! Me and subject lines, they just don't mix well.
Internet seems to have stabilized. *touchwood* Today is the second day in a row it's not crashing when I try to do stuff. Yesterday I just left my computer running because, well, it was on a 'winning streak' and why break that, right? But when I went to sleep I had to shut it down. I just used MS Word to alter my Curriculum Vitae and then fired up the internet, and now it works fine.
I even got to send an e-mail!
I contacted my old employment agency as a last attempt. They got me a job a year back, and I spoke to thesame guy who helped me last time. He complimented me "you've always worked well for us" and explained there's not a lot of work. Then he asked me "what do you want to do?"
"Anything that pays. Only I can't do heavy lifting because I've had troubles with my back before". He spoke of a hotel in Lunteren (small village to the north, don't know exactly where it is though) who needs chambermaids, but that's only for two saturdays from 7 am till noon. Making beds and cleaning the bathrooms. But it pays and that's my main concern. It beats Randstad (another employment agency) who said "there are 150 others waiting in line in front of you for a job".
Today I'll make an attempt to cycle to Ede. I don't really know the way but I do know the general direction. And I hope my paycheck is finally in with the bank.
And that's all I have to say about that.
