Life flying by
Jun. 3rd, 2003 09:06 pmMoving sucks serious ass. I don't like it, I never liked it, and I'm so stressed I'm thinking it's nine am and I need everything done today. I have to keep reminding myself to take it one step at a time. That's the spirit. That works.
This morning I picked up some more tape for boxes and hoped to find more boxes at the supermarket but why should they have boxes at a supermarket right? Anyways, I packed my bookcase and more and cleared my desk. Found some old love letters too. I typed out my poems and threw away the notepads with stuff. I found Oz' measurements, but now the sewing machine is gone (for a week or so?)
Mom and Luc came over and we threw away my old tv that can't remind which channel goes where, my table that was broken etc. and then we started packing boxes into the cart. My couch, the bookcase, my linnencloset (I have to live out of a couple of suitcases and weekend bags now) and the boxes marked "storage" all went in the back of the cart.
Then when we had soup, mom and I went into town for shopping, which was a nice break. I cooked us spaghetti, rockabilly spaghetti, and we drove to the new place. I paid the deposit, signed the contract and got my key.
I'll be moving in there SATURDAY! Already! I had no idea it would be this fast already and it's really nice that it'll all be over soon but I'm really stressing.
Wednesday [tomorrow]: internship, practice with the Tommies
Thursday: internship, print out "change of address" cards at school
Friday: internship, work at Gonzales
Saturday: move
Sunday: free!
Monday: free!
Then after my last (wheee last yay!) week at Focus, Friday I'll move towards the high North to huggle Oz a fat load of times for his birthday, Saturday I'll work and Sunday I'll probably visit some larpers in Schoonhoven: Roland, Gerard and more.
Things to pack:
Kitchenware
Remains of Deskshit
Kitchen supplies
Bed
*Sigh*
Doesn't look like a big deal when you type it out like this, right? But it is…
