It's only so short time until my birthday. And just like other years before this one, it doesn't feel at all like I'm going to be a year older. But I'm sure by Monday I'll be my usual radiant glowing birthdaygirl. It's just the way my birthday goes.
Last night I shopped for the feast. I had two big bags full and a cardboard box as well. Try fitting that on your bike. The worst thing about it was that I was out in the grocery part of the supermarket, and I walked towards the back and my eye fell on the wine and soda's. Because I had been bothered with the food and how to manage cooking for 14 people, I had totally forgotten about the drinks!

Bottom line was that I had six packs of rice (a six pack was as cheap as five normal packs), four bottles of cola, three bottles of sinas {cheap fanta}, five cans of peaches and more heavy shit. I couldn't drive home anymore, so I had to walk. I by no means have now got enough soda's in the house to provide for everyone. I do have two -euhm well they're not bottles, they're cardboards because that's cheaper and it tastes thesame- of white wine, and three beers. I need more beers and juices and so on and so forth. I'll at least have to drive back there for that.

And tomorrow I'll be out larping again. I think. Today's friday, right?

The city smells like garbage on a clouded moist day like today. I like this weather, but only near the forest. The air smells of forest and earth there. Not of garbage.

I was watching the Thomas Crown Affair last night (a movie) and to be honest: Pierce Brosnans naked butt on tv is good.... and Seb called and we talked for over an hour. That was fun. Didn't get to see more naked-butt-of-Pierce-Brosnan though. *sob*

The city is big, the streets are wide. And even though it smells like garbage there are hidden treasures everywhere, because that's just the way life is. I found a hidden treasure today. Not in the form I usually enjoy, no wonderful esthetic alleyways nor a semi-castle or an ancient-looking house. No today I found a very good coffeeplace. Where they sell cappuccino's from Heaven and serve bread as hot as Hell.
I had lunch with a heavenly cappuccino in one hand and a piece of bread, unions and cheese burning the other hand. *smile*

There are racks along the walls, with all kinds of cheeses, teas and coffees. The bread is steaming from the oven and a man is refilling the kandij that's on the two tables. A barstool at the high table and the steaming foods in my hand. Yum.
Everybody has their lunch "to go" but I just sit there and enjoy the show.
