“He smiles and looks away/ but I still don’t know the answer / to this day”

So with these last two days the year ends. I can remember that a few years back on the last hours of the old I retreated to my room and laid on my bed feeling melancholic. Writing a bit of journal, until the last few minutes. I believe I wrote “The last few minutes of 2000 are ticking away” or something. That was the last year I lived with my mom.
In only another 35 hours the anticlimax will implode on us again. The turn of another calendar.

I guess it’s also time for me to list a few things that are memorable for 2002, just like Oz did a few days before Christmas. I guess I could get my Memorable posts out with me [but I don’t have that handy right now], but I think that what I can recall is much more valuable than what the record shows.

1. Had a lot of problems with Gassy which were eventually solved in August
   
2. Went Larping for the first time – May
   
3. Had more boyfriends in one year than in previous years, which caused me to find out what really is important in a relationship and life…
   
4. …pondered about philosophy and life more than ever.
   
5. Moved in with Tommy
   
6. Actually met Oscar
   
7. Traveled the country, from North-Holland to Groningen, from Arnhem to The Hague.
   
8. Overcame my (light) stagefright and found out what theatre can really move deep inside of me.
   
9. Leared Barre-chords and can now play over 3 songs entirely *Grin*
   
10. Had a marvelous time playing guitar with Henning and Jonathan.
    
11. Learned to appreciate various types of music and broadened my horizon
    
12. Actually played in a band! Two times!
    
13. Strenghtened the bond with my mother by not seeing her for two months
    
14. Growing more open to my father instead of being the stubborn Nijmeijer that we both are.
    
15. Got a job!
    
16. ….and most important, I’ve met a lot of wonderful people and made a lot of new friends this year! No need to say all your names, you know who or what you are….

And yes, I might have forgotten something but I’m sure I remember them once my brain starts working again.

Last night work, okay, was fun. Worked with a single group of 28, who tipped me 36.60 euro. Niiiice. Luckily we devide the tips fair = per working hour so with my 10+ hours I received a 20.23 euro tip. Harhar. This means I am now at 65 euro’s = halfway to my new sword!!!
And I asked Sander whether he could copy that Elvis cd he burnt for Miel for me as well. Elvis goooood. I cleaned the buffet dancing, while Erik went out to get us shoarma. Yes, it was fun last night.

My mouse is a W*A*N*K*E*R

At least I’m trying to do some creative stuff. I’m working in PhotoShop on this nice little plant-tree-backgroundthingy and my damn computermouse isn’t working.
Tarlia, if you tell me to clean the thing I’m going to bite your head off! *Evil grin*

I cleaned the mouse, the wheels inside, the ball, the mousepad and the little plastic that keeps the ball in place three times now and still it gives me nightmares by jumping over a spot when going from right to left, from left to right, top to bottom or bottom to top. It’s clean but it just doesn’t want to work properly!

Is this your way of telling me I should take a break???

So I’m giving up on doing some computerized drawing for today. I guess I’ll try working on my Tis picture and clean before the guests arrive. Having a pancake feast tonight!
