Hissyfits and waking up. Oh yeah.
Work last night. Blah. I chose the dishes so I could just listen to my own music and daydream while automatically scrubbing leftover meat and grease off the plates. Instead there came 291 plates my way. And 97 forks, 97 knives, 97 little forks and 97 spoons. The most amazing thing about last night was not that the water got cold because the boiler couldn’t handle my continuous asking for hot water, but that because of the new salads my dishwater now reeked differently. Instead of the old aroma (odeur d’ dishes *Grin*) of overgrilled flesh with too much sauces, I now have overgrilledfleshsaucesaladoilsmell still caught in my nostrils. *Wide Grin*

On the upside, I did enjoy my music even if Emile kept nagging about the Apers not being any good. Narrow minded bugger! Did a fair bit of daydreaming in between grabbing at my sore back (why doesn’t being in the kitchen come along with a personal masseur?) and trying to keep my apron dry.

But this morning I woke up at ten twenty-five so I feel more awake than ever. A good night’s sleep does a girl wonders. I’ve just made myself a big mug of cappuccino, there’s not as much foam as I’d like but hey, it’s coffee. Mmmm.
So I guess I’m ready for a new day.
I hope Tommy will be home soon, I’m kind of eager to give her presents.
Then, I’ll have to check my e-mail at school. I could wait until I’m at my mom’s house tonight but I’m really impatient. I have to do some shopping for balloons and such because tomorrow my mother flies back in. She’ll be boarding the airplane today, fly from Los Angeles to London and then on to Amsterdam. Where Jos (my brother dearest) and I will pick her up. So I will go over to her house tonight, talk a bit to the neighbors, do some serious msn’ing and icq’ing, maybe even IRC a bit. Then tomorrow I’ll cheer up the house with balloons and such, take a bus and Jos will intercept my current course and drive us to Schiphol.

Snowcloak still beautiful.

I have checked my e-mail. Three new mails from the guy with the cheeky eyes. *Grin*. Plus a fat load of junkmail. I should get underway to Ouderkerk but I didn't even get a chance to look at my yahoo mail yet. I know Woodworks published (with my new column in it!) and I'd like to read...already had four new comments at Elfwood thanks to Woodworks!

Ah well. I should get going.

So the bus broke down on the way to this village. I've been startled again by the changes in this town as well as the sense of continuity the people here embrace. A new school built in only four months, and gardens done neatly for winter.

E-mailing a bit. Not much new here. I'm enjoying my time on real msn as intensely as ICQ and IRC. Chatting with my Moon.
Yes, Dreamwalker, I think I'll stick with that nick. Cheeky Eyes is just too long.

*sigh*

Nothing more to report. I guess I'll just do some more surfing and chatting.
