Old roommates and new friends
Nov. 21st, 2002 08:48 amLast night was sort of fun. In a weird way. First, I went over to my old house and had coffee with Linda, the girl that lives upstairs from in my old house. I realised while I was there that we only had two things in common: our hatred for Marjolein (Gassy) and our love for dogs. Since neither of us wanted to talk about Marjolein all night we skipped to the dogs part.
Jochem was chewing a bone and Zorra kept a close eye on him. Once he let go (to sit with me) she quickly got the bone. Well, I enjoyed having Jochem on my lap even though his paws made me ticklish a bit.We played and cuddled and somewhere along the lines he bit my hand (also made a pass at my nose but missed), and I could feel that he pulled some muscle or ‘pees’ over another and that hurt. It’s been quite sore since. I’ll live though, it wasn’t such a mean bite and I hardly even feel it anymore.
Then I went home, tried to take a picture of the full moon behind the clouds, but I’m afraid that failed, put on some make-up and went to Corine’s place for that party.
I saw her fret/sororityhouse (what do you call it if it has both genders?). Eightteen students and she had a very nice room indeed. I hung a bit, had three theological discussions during the evening (“Ah, you’re not a christian? What are you then? What do you believe in?” which became more fun as I drank a few wines.
Corine had been trying to hook me up with a housemate of hers for a year now. She had made me very curious, (curiosity kills the cat…I should watch out better) and I asked her about Joas (that’s his name). It took her a very very long time to introduce me, which I eventually did myself. We had sort of an interesting conversation. Too bad it was about religion again, I would have liked to get to know him better. One of his answers he gave intrigued me. He said he was a gothic, and even though he wasn’t wearing those clothes and is a christian, I didn’t really understand how he experiences being gothic then. But alas, I’m afraid I’m a wicked weird wench to him now.
