Wad walking
Sep. 1st, 2002 02:12 pmIt was long and hard but we made it. We walked about 11 kilometres, roaming about the sand & mud that is the waddensea. I got real wet up until around my waist but afterwards I took a nice warm shower. Underway, we saw 2 seals, swimming in their natural habitat, and after a cup of coffee we went to Pieterburen, where the seal kindergarten is.
There are young abandoned seals swimming around and it was spectacular. Underwater glance through a window and then seeing that one of the seals comes up to you and swims in front of your window showing you it’s big-ass tummy. *Big smile*
Today is a real reload-day. I’ve greatly enjoyed spending 3+ hours walking outside (and I don’t mind the mud that much). I’ve picked two kinds of herbs, sat in the sun, and I felt the vibe of seals. Wonderful wonderful wonderful.
During the walk I have relived last night. What Willem did, how it felt (good. I would like to have someone touching my skin like that as a boyfriend). And right now we’re on our way to Gonzales Groningen to eat at our collegues. Just still hope to run into Ozjish while I’m up here way north.
