At the camping (sing along now…)
Aug. 17th, 2002 09:34 amAfter exploiting the internet at school with TommyCee, I grudgingly packed my bags and skidaddled to Den Bosch. There, I found out that I had to go to Boxtel in order to get a traincab to Flevo. I sighed and went (like a lamb to the slaughter). Finally in the traincab I met a girl with guitar who was real cheerful: Lianne. We joked some and walked to the entrance together. There, we got wristbands and I reached my friends (who had a tent where I could sleep) by phone.
We rehearsed the dance right away, in a steaming-hot tent. After sweating heavily it was deemed ‘ready’ and it was almost dinnertime. I got a meal, some vegetarian grub because I was in the vegetarian line (but hey, why put up signs?). I had already lost my Mirrorian friends so I dumped my Bourgondian mushy rice-stuff on a table.
I was quickly joined by two metal-looking dudes who, like me, wore a yellow wristband. That meant they were performers or shopkeepers (normal visitors wear red bracelets). So I asked them and as it turns out they were the drummer (sandwich, peanutbutter, pickles…) [and a nipple piercing!] and guitarist of Morphia. We talked bands and music and performing. They would play at 00.15. I was so bummed! If there was one band I wanted to see, it was doommetal Morphia. Too bad our play started at 00.30
Later that night, I finally found Tjerk (squeak, yell, jump, hug) and we talked and hugged. It was so good to see him! I had really really really missed him.
So, the play went okay. I superbly enjoyed the demondance but the technicians screwed up. Tonight a second try.
I woke up at seven and again at 09.30. Had some coffee and a cracker with chocolatepaste. I have a great view of some trees and half-naked Goverts (I’m blind!!!). Going to see if the line at the toilets is gone soon and see if there’s a decent breakfast.
