Spikes down my back
Jul. 14th, 2002 11:48 amWork last night was good. I had slept terribly after a long night playing guitar with Jonathan, and I asked Erik wheter or not I could be in the kitchen. My arms were still all twiggly.
So just as I had readied the first few tables Emile called, saying he would bring the guys from Serenade of Darkness (his band) to eat and wheter there still was place for them.
So that ment that Jimmy-the-crush-with-the-purdy-black-hair would be there! Ack! I was so happy I was in the kitchen with my half woken mind. Spilling everything over anyone if I wouldn’t have been.
Well, Jimmy greeted me by shaking my hand, and I met his girlfriend (still pretty *ouch*) and another friend of them, Alex. He is also quite tall and has long hair and a beard.
It was fun seeing them there. Gonzales is not quite the place where you expect to see people with long hair and leather pants.
Can you imagine how hard my night must have been? They both were wearing leather pants!
The plates came loosely, not 8 tables at a time so I handled the kitchen quite well, if I may say so. I was sweating like a pig as usual, and I spiked my right indexfinger on one of the barbecuespikes while cleaning it with a steel spunge. That was pretty ouch (but not as much as seeing Jimmy snuggle his girlfriend) and I can feel the infection right now. Had that finger in hot water with grease and foodremains all night so it was bound to bleed yellow stuff sooner or later. Can’t even type with it. Still, I’m happy it’s not the left indexfinger: that would have ment I couldn’t play guitar for a week.
Excited for tomorrow to go practice with the Tommies. Have to work first at three and go to Bart’s birthday after that. Walk home from Ede-Veldhuizen: so not yay.
