Well, the plan was I’d be having a drink with TommyCee in Amsterdam today. She just called that she was still at her dad’s place, she still needs to drive to her mom (about one hour drivingtrip) and then she has to take a train.

So, instead of not going to school I will go and leave to meet TC from there. We’re going for a drink in the Florin&Firkin in Utrecht instead of going all the way to Amsterdam.

A wonderful thing happened. I looked in the mirror this morning and I couldn’t help but smile. And I don’t mean because my hair was such a mess (it was, though) but just…well…I don’t know.

Went into school today but the floppydrive of the computer I selected to grace me with it’s internetconnection was broke. So, this will all be posted a bit later. After talking a bit to Jan, I went to Utrecht to have a cup of coffee (no, wait, cola light, was it? *giggle*) in the Florin with TommyCee. A wonderful place that is. Memories slanted on the ceilings and in the candlelight.

When we returned to Utrecht Central Station it was around fiveish and we took a train. She went to her work in Amersfoort and I returned to Ede, murmering and gazing out of the window. It truly is amazing how many trees there are between Utrecht and Ede.
When I exited the train, (the Ede station is next to the forest *wheee*) I noticed that the trees were happy. They looked and felt as if they were singing. It was really a strange thing to notice and I’m sure most people reading this can not understand what it was like and think I am a fool (which I am, by the way) but I was just standing there watching the trees, walking to the exit and sometimes turning around to watch the trees. They were happy!
It had been raining all afternoon, quite heavy showers as Linda told me, and their branches were all black from the water. But when I arrived, there was bright sunshine on their wet leaves. I felt them enjoy it. I got all these comic visuals of trees singing cartoon-style but it’s not at all like that. More like a choir, standing firmly with their arms in the air, eyes closed, raising a praise to the sun and the sky for their bliss.

So the 5 minute cycle home I was smiling, laughing and saying to myself “They’re singing!”. Which must have been quite a funny sight. When I think about it now, it still gets me happy.
