Paper LJ: Homebound, train.
Mar. 16th, 2002 12:59 pmYesterday I had my first day on the job. It was a lot of typing and some of the cards I had to enter into the database were unreadable. And I exited my bus like 5 stops too early so I almost got lost and walked for 30 minutes!
Dumb, Blonde, and in denial.
Then, after the job I took the bus to Soesterberg to meet TommyCee because we were going to a gig from the Apers in Dutch mediacity #1: Hilversum.
So we had dinner with her mom, walked the dog, and dressed up. When I was done doing my hair (helicopter-high ponytail!) and make-up I felt like miss überbabe! Which I normally dont feel like.
When we got to Tagrijn (the club where the gig was at) the first band was already completing their act and waveing goodbyes. Then the Apers came. Kevin hadnt seen TC until she took a picture of them freaking out on stage and when he saw her he gave her the sweetest smile and a I didnt know you were here look.
They played their single Eyes open wide 2 times and most of the songs I recognized from the cd I bought at their last show I went to.
It was so much fun looking at them. I was laughing at Jerry for being a [f****ing] poser, and breaking one of his snares in the first song, ha!
And Ivo Marien and Kevin just went mad on their guitars.
According to TC it wasnt that good a show, or so she said to Marien (ofcourse), but I liked it. I cant wait to get on stage with my little band (TC says its mine, so it is ).
When we got home we talked some more and slept. This morning I woke up to the terrible sound of Tommys alarm bells [the horror!]
She had to work so we went to amersfoort where we had coffee and split up. I went into a fashionshop and looked for some trousers and I bought a new black one! Its my official Hey-I-got-a-new-job-and-Im-gonna-wear-you-on-the-4th-of-April-trousers.
I need to throw an official trousers-naming party soon. Baptise them. [Trousers, I baptise you to be named Mr. Blacky from this day forward etc.]
Send a rose if you wanna come. If.
And to celebrate the fact that I fit into a size 42 again [comparable to the English size 12 I think] I bought myself a Swirls icecream! It was a lot of ice, somewhere around 300 ml? But I deserved it!
