janestarzWe're done proofreading. Now all is in the capable hands of the lay-out directors.
I already know which class is going to win: the class of David. His lay-out is so superb and really that's all they're going to judge on. Our paper is going to be nice as well but it's not superb.
When I close my eyes I wander around in a forest like Lothlórien.
They were standing in an open space. To the left stood a great mound, covered with a sward of grass as green as Springtime in the Elder Days. Ipon it, as a double crown, grew two circles of trees: the outer had bark of snowy white, and were leafless but beautiful in their shapely nakedness; the inner were mallorn trees of great height, still arrayed in the pale gold. High amid the branches of a towering tree that stood in the centre of all there gleamed a white flet. At the feet of the trees, and all about the green hillsides the grass was studded with small golden flowers shaped like stars. Among them, nodding on slender stalks, were other flowers, white and palest gree: they glimmered as a mist amid the rich hue of the grass. Over all the sky was blue, and the sun of afternoon glowed upon the hill and cast long green shadows beneath the trees.
I'm listening to Track Eight again. Very comforting.
I've planned to stay in school to help the Lay-out until eight at latest. Then I'll dash home and read a bit and sleep. Tomorrow work again. It's been long since I've last worked and I reckon my feet will slowly strangle me to death afterwards.
What I wouldn't give for a moonlit massage right now...
It's good that Dutchelfwood meeting is this Saturday. Unwinding with Fantasy-liking friends good. It'll give me a chance to scan all those piccies I wanted in my gallery for a while now when I scan in their drawings. I'm looking forward to sitting in a pub drawing. I must really be a geek. Henning and Wouter will be there at least so that is gooood.
