I’m getting better every time you see me
Jan. 12th, 2003 01:23 pmIt was 2 am when I went to bed last night and I haven’t slept enough all week. So I guess I woke up at twelvethirty and I’m just getting my breakfast ready. I decided to eat big, with mugggs o’coffee.
Ramon just called, we’re indeed going to hang out and play cards, pick up some Chinese food and just hang out together. It’ll be fun seeing him. I’m really looking forward to it.
The performance went well yesterday. The hall was filled with young christians, and they were very quiet during, except at the laughable parts. For us actors it didn’t feel like it was going well, most of us were playing on routine and waiting for our queue’s (or is that cue’s?) and we weren’t so much our roles but the crowd seemed to enjoy it.
I had trouble with being the archbishop, but I walked around as him for a while with my council besides me in advance to the play, and it went better than ever, despite the sound of the pope on tv being off for his first two sentences. So the entire “Branden? Vierendelen?” fell off. [Burn? Tear into four pieces? is sort of the translation].
I was pretty nervous and meditating before went well. I used some ‘character creation’ things I learnt from larp to really become the archbishop and the marketwoman. How did my character get up in the morning, where does she/he lives, how does he/she get to work, whom does he/she see and how does he/she regard them?
And ofcourse, I very much LOVED the demondance. Even if the stage was far too small for it.
Yupyup enjoyed myself. Bram even asked me for the next performance in February. I don’t know yet. It’ll be filmed, you know.
My grandma (whom I’ve never really known) used to say: ‘Be careful what you wish for, or you’ll get far too much’.

That is how I understand it, at least, so 'cue' would be the word you want.
