So the first lessonfilled day of school is coming along nicely. After two hours of lecture about America (which only taught me that the USA always has and always will meddle into affairs which are none of their fucking business) and the communism/CIA/doctrines I decided to switch Graphic Layouting to work on an article tomorrow. On my own. In an empty room. *relieved sigh* The people here in school are truly bugging me because of their behavior in the hallways. Stopping dead in front of your feet etc.

Suspect bitch-slap fight brewing between Galadriel and Legolas as to which of them can nance around better while holding water pitcher. Cannot help but roll my eye over this. Time to toss some Jiffy Pop into Mount Doom and watch the fireworks.

Re-reading the Very Secret Diaries. I am still laughing my ass of at them. They cheer me up a bit.

In other news, tonight with Klaas to Amsterdam to attend a conference of something on the Nieuwezijdsevoorburgwal. Yes that's a streetname. I know where that is because of Ladyfest this summer which reminded me of the Vrankrijk and [livejournal.com profile] silverseabear. My train of thought is...disturbing. It'd be nice to meet up with her again. Maybe discuss some dragking business...

One of these days I am going to have to visit over there if for nothing else but the names. Gosh, that is weird and long. There and Germany, and probably Wales for good measure - they have odd names too.

Of course, you will have to come over and visit here for our... weird.. names... yeah, that is right... weird names... yeah...

Although now, come to think of it, there are some really weird place names in the Seattle area (well, that is one, for example - it is a bastardization of the Native American name 'Sealth', named after a very famous chieftain). Like Issaquah, Puyallup, Skykomish, Snoqualmie, Sammamish, etc. Weird names. Also Walla Walla, Yakima, the Hoh Rainforest (I am not making that up), Tacoma... weird names. All Native American. Of course, there are plenty of good Enlgish names, too - Renton, Kent, Redmond, Portland, etc.

Well, I have always wanted to visit Europe, particularly Western and Northern Europe (mostly a desire to sort of learn about my roots, etc.). So why not stop in the Netherlands and pop by when I do?

Do not hold your breath, though. It might be a bit before I get around to it.
