Danger! Headache!
Jan. 10th, 2002 09:28 amYesterday was...terrible. In fact we had fun, but the memories sound like headaches. Do I make sense this early in the morning?
TommyCee and I went to Arnhem and arrived at the "Omroep Gelderland" (Gelderland [dutch province] Broadcasting System) 10 minutes early. So that was good. We entered the building and went up to the offices upstairs. There, we met mr. Erik. (I will not use his entire name because we promised it would be anonymous) He was very busy with a power blackout in Nijmegen and arranging people to go over there with camera's and stuff. I love journalism.
So TommyCee and I went down to the tv-studio, made a shot there from how the people were busy. Then some more shots of the offices upstairs, and one of a bottle champagne which stood in the window. That took about 15 minutes.
The pizza arrived so mr. Erik ate downstairs with his collegues and TommyCee and I were bored and made some fun with the camera. Another 45 minutes later, we had been waiting there for an hour, we started the interview. I was camerawoman and had to stare at a little tiny screen all the time while TommyCee was wrestling the questions. That was fun.
Then the interview was over and we made a little out-tro in the lobby, on a red staircase with a mirror. So that was a really nice picture. We decided to take the bus to the station, had the 9 o'clock bus and the 9.20 (pm, mind you) train back to Ede.
TommyCee figured that going all the way back to her place would be too late to do, and we went out to get some french fries, talked about salads and steaks, and went home. Made TC a bed, which was totally hard and uncomfortable, and went to sleep exactly the same time Tc would otherwise had been going to sleep if she would have gone all the way back home. So that was our night.
This morning we dragged the camera some more and I really have a headache from the lack of coffee, the forgetting of pencils, and the blistering cold.
Sigh. And the day is only starting. More later. Promise. Cross my heart etc.
