Road trip!

janestarzEisirt is off to play Das Schwarze Auge with his buddies, so I've got the house all to myself. I can't continue tinkering with the car stereo's since he's off with the Peut, but I can cycle to Bloemendalwol to pick up my new knitting needles.
I had bought a set of KnitPro Karbonz there a year ago (or so Google Maps tells me "you were here one year ago") and still needed to go back with them. One of the tips was rough, like it wasn't polished correctly, and knitting with it was like scratching nails over a blackboard.
Otherwise, they're quite fine to knit with.
I had also ordered a set of 2.75 mm KnitPro needles. They come in sets of six, so you can break a needle and still go strong. Though these needles are pretty short at 15 cm, the extra needle means you can fit all your sleeve stitches on there as well. I like shorter sock needles because longer ones can hook into cardigan sleeves while knitting, the shorter ones are great right until the moment you're knitting a sleeve.
So now I'm riding the endorfin high from my cycling trip. *grin*
Chefwol.nl gave away five free tickets to the Knit & Knot fair and I won one! Anemoona and I will be visiting in April, and doing a workshop Fair Ilse knitting together, which will be such fun. Very much looking forward to this, I hope we'll be at full strength with WannabeKat there and HowlingMoon. I thought one of them said they won't be there, but I can't find the message anymore and my memory sucks at the moment. It would be great to be with the whole group again!
