It's an ongoing thing
Oct. 25th, 2018 09:48 amI hate projects where I keep second-guessing myself. This is the week for it, with some hormonal imbalances and an infection under the skin of my nose that turns the entire thing purple and painful, I know it's not the right time for frogging new projects. (I started a zig-zag sock and it looks to be too big and it's not fun to knit and all that doubt, doubt, doubt might just be hormone-fueled.)
It may be the right time for frogging old projects though. I know the big German short-row heel in the Dotje Socks are never going to fit
wannabe_bitch, so I frogged back one of the two socks and re-knit the heel yesterday. This time I used a regular short row heel.

The little skeins of yarn on the right are all the separate parts of the sock. And the bottom dark blue ball is all the yarn that I needed for this sock for that large German short row heel and didn't need for the regular short row heel. That little ball is far larger than all the yarn I needed for the toe!
I tried to keep the design in the spirit of the original though, by adding three rows of dark blue all around the instep. Now I can continue with the foot, just going straight down towards the toe until we get a chance to fit.
The zig-zag sock and the socks I've been knitting for Rainstorm are on hold for a bit. Both look horribly large and bulky...
