All the knitting was finished a while ago, but there was SNOW today! It's been snowing most of the day and although temperatures are just above freezing, we got outside for some beautiful pictures.
The best part is that Zaphira's costume is one of few that I was really, really looking forward to getting pictures of in the snow. And we did!

The trees were so pretty!

Full outfit. The blue kirtle has lace-on sleeves that look horrible unless you put on the dark red, lined kirtle ("Apple") as well -- it hides the huge armscye and the fact the sleeves want to drop forward because of my wonky shoulder. Memo to me: maybe sew more lacing holes to secure the sleeve some more?
The Kettle Valley shawl is long enough to be tied as a Hap shawl, which makes it bundle quite nicely around the neckline.

If you're crazy and you know it, raise your hand! (I should totally make that one picture into an LJ userpic! I love it.)
The snow and the wonderful pictures Eisirt made cheered me up to no end. I was having a bit of a bum day because I wanted to wear my purple turtleneck for the first time and I found out I really can't wear it without dying from all the itching.
Whereas the Kettle Valley shawl in the above pictures, knit from the same wool (just a different colour) is fine, because it's cold outside and then suddenly it no longer itches. Or something. So....huh.
