Despite all the drama and the headaches and the momentary "what have I done" right after frogging the big blue monstrosity...

...I am actually very, very happy I decided to frog and start over. The Kettle Valley pattern is very interesting to knit. Just enough of a challenge to not be mind-numbingly boring but not so hard you're continually questioning whether you're doing the right thing. The height differences and texture differences are managed well, and so far it's not had a dull moment.

I thought the cabled bit would be harder, but just like the rest of the shawl, it just takes one or two moments to wrap your head around the concept and then it's happily knitting along to the hem.
I'm as happy as a cat with whiskers full of cream!

Oooh, that's a great shot. Love the composition and colors. (I know nothing of knitting/yarn. Just appreciating pretty photos. ;-)

Knowing when to rip it all up is a life skill, good to get some practice in. It looks like it'll be gorgeous and you will actually wear this one.
