The Final Sleeve of the Journey
Sep. 2nd, 2017 02:58 pmI never clearly stated before which Sock Madness I'd finish this sweater, but we all figured out by now it probably wasn't going to be the one I participated in this year. Luckily Sock Madness is an event that returns every year.
However, I'd love to finish the Bodemloos sweater. It's one of those large projects that stalls three-quarters of the way there. I can knit a sleeve in two days, right? Right?
I seem to have taken some notes, as I've knitted and re-knitted this sleeve a couple of times. First it was too tight. Then it was too baggy. But I think I've figured it out now. I've decreased to 56 stitches (less than a sock has) so the round is super-speedy. I was a little worried that when switching to the 1x1 rib the rest of the sleeve would sag, but that didn't happen!
Finished sleeve 1 last night and grafted the tubular bind-off this morning. Then it was time to take pictures and it got a bit wacky:

I'll keep you posted!
