...but not today

It's predicted to hit 35°C today which is a temperature no Dutch person should have to live in. As our apartment is under a flat roof, it's not cooling down as much at night and tonight was horribly warm anyway. Outside temperarture is 26°C already and it's unbearable in the house already. The poor kitties are suffering, putting fluffy bellies up to doors and floors because they feel slightly cooler.

Work is hot as well, a lot of warmth is stuck in the building and not enough breeze is coming through. Sigunne bought a fan for the atelier, so I bought the same one for at home, but after 30°C it's just blasting you with hot air in stead of cooling you down.
As it is, I'm doing pretty well, keeping cool by sprinkling water on myself and cooling down as it evaporates.
Eisirt is horribly hot and just shuts down. I wonder how he managed when he was in Afrika and Australia but he can't tell me (because his brain is part of the shut-down, probably).

I've moved my fitting from Satarday down to the next available spot, because there's no way I can get it all done in time with these tropical temperatures. I keep telling myself "I can go to the atelier and stay until it gets way too hot", but every time I get moving I change my mind and realise I shouldn't even try. Probably best if I fill up one of the Samla bins with cold water, soak my ankles and melt in silence.
