I've finished all I can finish before the end of the year, and I decided to take a moment for my knitting list and -wishlist. I did this around the same time last year as well.
This will be long-winded, so I've cut it into several parts. Part 2 has pictures!
Knitting Resolutions.
I made plans for 2016 and I managed to tick off a few on this list. Some plans didn't work out, and some plans....were kept on hold for a very long time.
Stuff I did!
Stuff I didn't!
So I managed to keep about half of my New Years' Resolutions from last year. Not a bad score. I did polish my crochet skills a wee bit, even though I didn't set up a whole project. And I did set up the Eowyn socks, even if I only did so yesterday afternoon. I doubt I'll finish them before the end of the year, though.
Finished Objects of 2016.
Despite not knitting everything I had planned to knit, there were also a lot of unplanned knits! Most of these got finished too. I present with pride and some apprehension ("Did I really knit that much?!") my 16+ finished objects of 2016:

From left to right, top to bottom:
Not pictured here are Steelweavers cabled headband, cowl and mittens. Hope you're still loving them!
Plans for 2017.
Earlier this month I sorted through my "stash of little bags next to the couch". (I actually have a plastic bin there that holds all these big zip-lock baggies with yarn and sometimes pattern. Ready to grab, which I never do.) I made sure my stash was up to date, and all those little bags were put in my Ravelry queue. It made it more manageable, easier to see what is actually in that pile. And yesterday I picked up not one but two projects from there.
I have declared 2017 Year of the Sock. I would like to participate in Sock Madness, and make a dent in my sock yarn stash. WannabeKat has been waiting for her Eowyn socks for more than a year, so I cast those on already. And for my easy-peasy sock project, which I take along to birthdays and on long drives, I set up a simple sock with contrast heel/toe/cuff. Considering I knit 8 pairs of socks last year, I hope to do better this year. (It didn't feel like eight pairs of socks!)
And that's my list for this year!

Stuff I didn't!
- Crochet a project - because I want to polish my crochet skills;
- Knit the Muness for Sigunne;
- Knit the Daybreak shawl;
- Knit the Batik shawl;
- Knit the Eowyn socks for WannabeKat.

- The Eowyn socks for WannabeKat (already started).
- Finish the Morgenfryd (previously Muness) for Sigunne. Already halfway!
- Kalajoki, Skew, Slip-stripe-spiral, and Dorothy's Slip Stitch Socks.
- The Windowpane Socks, the final sock from the Craftsy Class I enjoyed very much.
- At least one pair of socks from my Quick & Easy bundle for Eisirt.
- At least one large project, probably the Bagtanke. I'll set it up in summer so I can wear it next fall.
- At least 1 pattern from a book. I hope to use my Op-Art Socks book this year.
- If there's time left, I will see if I feel like knitting the Batik, the Daybreak or maybe even Strandwanderer.
- And if I get really bored, I'll frog my Hitchhiker, and knit it anew on larger needles. It's slightly too small and won't stay put.
And that's my list for this year!
