Last night I had ever so much fun. Tommy and I first went to Utrecht to check out fabric for her fairy-wings, and then we went back home. We dressed up and ate dinner, not necessarily in that order, and then we went freaking AMSTER*fucking*DAM! In the train we giggled and giggled and Meh’ed to eachother.
*Grin* Sheep says ‘word’ yo!
Once at Amsterdam Central*fucking*Station [ok, I need to stop doing that] we were so in a cardboard-boxmood we were doing the whole trafficlight thing and I almost couldn’t control myself when I saw Japanese people. *Grin*
We walked to the Melkweg [The Milky Way, get it?] and there we got in line to see Danko Jones!!!
But first, there was this band called “Griffin” who were good too. The bass-player and the drummer wore chucks and they were all cool!
But well, let’s get on with the show. *Wink*
Danko played in all black. They so rocked! There was just this incredible vibe in the audience, which ofcourse could be caused by Danko’s ‘licking the air’-moves or his rigourously fast head-banging. I am so in love with that band…*Giggle*
Damon (I think his name is Damon…), the drummer was working it hard, JC on the bass really rocked my ass back and forth with all those yummy riffs…and then there was still Danko himself. He puts up this big show on stage, with this air that says “I want you, all off you, the entire girl audience, here and now. Preferrably on the floor in front of all these people.”
I found it was very easy to adore mr. Jones and all his attitude. But I realised not many people were looking at Damon or JC. So I kept checking JC out. He was more…subdued than Danko. I really think that entire “I want you, all off you, the entire girl audience, here and now. Preferrably on the floor in front of all these people.”-attitude of Danko himself gets tired. I mean, I’ve seen them live twice now…and they are so fucking amazing, but still. JC also has some attitude, but never uses his tongue in showing off…
Well…allright, enough of that image.
So after the show Tommy and I lingered around and the band came out to the merchandise stand. First we talked to the drummer. It was his birthday! Then we talked a bit to JC and later to Danko himself too. And then we took pictures. Tommy has been photographed with Danko and the drummer! [maybe this will start rumours…?] and I got my picture taken in between Danko and JC, I think I’m really very tall in that picture…ouch! And also with Damon (?).
Then we were like, what to do now…because we had already missed the last trains…and Tommy talked to some of her contacts. We could borrow Hassan from Mr. Voicst and no, that’s not a camel! It’s a really groovy car. We drove back to Ede saying to eachother how great it was and how sweet it was that we could borrow Hassan!
So I’m now wearing my new Danko Jones Hoodie! And soon I’m going to pin my new Danko Jones pin onto something [my ass! My ass!]. I can’t wait until we get the pictures back.
No I’m not a fan! I’m just smitten!
