Meanwhile I have my first product figured out and it is currently being tested by a friendly knitter friend. This knitting project bag was a gift to Marja, who has supported me tremendously by donating a TON of supplies to Dolle Griet. Marja really is the kindest person, and she asks for nothing in return. She asked me to make her a pair of trousers, but there's no way she's going to ever pay for anything I make her. So, onto the Origami Project Bag! I developed the pattern after seeing a picture on Pinterest. The fabrics are all Ikea! (I wish I could have a mantua in that flower fabric...but red is not my colour.)
It will hold up to three skeins of yarn, balled or not, and is large enough to store your 20 cm sock needles lying flat. If you set it next to you, the bag opens up a bit for easy access. I forgot to jot down the exact measurements, but this item will be the first to fill my to-be-opened-somewhere-this-week Etsy store - in a variety of happy fabrics.
Considering this took me a couple of hours to figure out, I'm a little afraid of Real Garment Patters that I want to do, but oh! The Inspiration!
