Ready for Booyah!
Jun. 24th, 2016 09:23 amA few weeks ago I decided I could go to Booyah's summer event after all. I was scared to be completely exhausted after the exams of that the event would fall right in the middle of them. Turns out I was only half-right. It's been a pretty exhausting week with lots of appointments after two very stressful long days. I'm not relishing the thought of driving an hour and a half to Booyah, but I guess I'll manage.
Further preparations for the events saw me working on two different blocks for a t-shirt. In the end, I took out my trusted basic T-shirt pattern from my QueenE days and sewed two new tops more suited to the warm weather. And wouldn't you know it? It's cooled down considerably after yesterdays' tropical humidity and subsequent thunderstorms.
I also hand-sewed a seam on my moutaineering boots in the hopes of doing a few more years with these. I really can't miss 160 euro for a new pair of shoes right now. Another coat of water-resistant might help too.
Kwibus will be home with Doortje and Eisirt, so they'll have the run of the house. Doortje is thawing out a bit, too. Last night she was butt-wiggling at the kitten on the bed, but didn't pounce on him yet. This morning they were chasing eachother through the house. So that's going well!
