The last goodbye for now…
Oct. 15th, 2002 08:56 amLast night at mom’s was fun! I arrived at four-thirty, and we immediatly had tea. I showed her my larp pictures (all of them) and we talked about all of the stuff that had been happening, the cats moving to my brother’s and so on. I also showed her my ‘peasantdress’ as I keep calling it, and she was impressed.
Then around six, we drove back towards Gouda, to the Witch’s place! Connie is a dear friend of my mother. She now has about 20 horses (not all of which are hers), some 5-10 cats, and 7 dogs. It’s a farm, horsepension, so they have room for all that. The dogs are the only creatures that were inside last night, and they occupied the couches and chairs. I cuddled with every one of them because they’re very cuddlylike. Especially Maddy Max, a Jack Russel with a spotted belly and Shaka Zulu, the matriarch Bouvier.
Ah yes. And we ate. Pilaf…yummm. We laughed a lot. Connie is cwaayzy I tell you!
After the food we went home. We drank some more tea and talked. And then Gea called for an hour or so. By the time my mom hung up it was very late and I was quite ready for bed. But I still had to go home! It was hard going, because it is the last time I saw her for the next two months! She must have waved five times and honked the horn a few more.
