Fitted winter coat: done!

Everything's printed and pressed and ready to hand in. I did a few shots in my (messy) living room/sewing atelier. I'm not so great with the timer on my camera, so the back view picture shows a bit of blur from the folded towel I used to prop the camera up a bit (I'm too lazy to get out the gorillapod I have, so this is my punishment.)

As you can see, it doesn't fit my mannequin very well.... but when I put it on everything pulls together.




On the mannequin it looks like the waistband is closer to the hips...


...but not when I put it on!

There's still some fitting issues -- look at that ugly pleat on the back sleeve! -- but they are not going to be fixed. I am going to hand this in for a grade and I'll be most satisfied when I get it back and can wear it to everywhere.



I am very happy, the coat feels like wearing a well-fitting fortress, and it looks glorious. Don't let my focused look in above pictures fool you, I am glad to be done and happy with the result. It's just that taking pictures on timer is hard. ;-)
