Picture-heavy
Nov. 5th, 2015 08:59 amLately it feels like I've only posted here if I had a picture to show you. My thoughts and ramblings have mostly been snowed over by "look at the pretty!". I think this might be in part, due to Facebook. (Not that I show a lot of images on Facebook....)
Still. There were a lot of pretty's to be shown. I'm working on several things at a time, always. Two or three active knitting projects, one of which I keep track of all the stages in a dress diary. There's the winter coat where I'm trying to get a good look at why this is such a massive undertaking - and that means taking pictures. There's Windsong's stuff, all done in the same week. And I love my Ravelry Project page (I think you can only see that page if you have a Ravelry account yourself), that shows a great number of projects, each with a pretty picture of the project.
And while I'm on the subject of pretty pictures of pretty projects, I'm inspired to change the photograph style. The white background thing, as much as it shows off the work, is very boring. I'm minded to shuffle it up and match random other pretty things to the knitting project, hoping to get a more interesting picture. It'll spruce up the page.
But I'm fun without the pretty pictures too. Even if it already feels like the end-of-year rush and Epic Christmas Migration are already upon us. I don't think we've got a normal weekend coming up for two more months or so.
Gosh. It's November! Can you imagine!
