I wanted to spend most of my Eisirt-free day today cutting out the pattern pieces for my winter coat. It'll be a lot of work and I don't want to bother him / be bothered by him when I'm working on it.

It's always more work than expected. I have to push the rocking chair into the kitchen to get as big an empty floor space as possible and I had Eisirt lift the coffee table on top of my Ikea pattern drafting solution (I can do it on my own, but it's hell on my back).

Then the floor needs a good going over to get rid of most of the dust, cat hairs and sand we've walked into the house.
Finally, the floor is clean and I have a good place to cut my fabric.

I realise that once I do, there's going to be bits and bobs everywhere. So I head downstairs into our storage area and grab a foldable crate to store all the pattern pieces in. I don't want to lose anything, so my haberdashery, lining and soon-to-be-cut fabrics all go in there. I clear away the rubbish lying around the room so I don't lose any pattern pieces among the other patterns I've been working on.

Then it's time for a bit of tea. Walking in the chill outside and being sweaty isn't a good combination.
I have a moment to drink tea and update my blog, but I realise that once I cut all the pattern pieces out, I'll want to get started on sewing, basting and overlocking. That means my sewing desk will be filled with fabric, and I still have some homework to do. I might as well get it done today, so I won't forget it.

Decisions, decisions....
